About The Team:
 
Saltare (which means "to jump" in Latin) was formed as a result of a phone call from MTV Networks in October of 2009.  The producers of the show America's Best Dance Crew contacted the USA Jump Rope office with the idea that they would like to see jump ropers perform in Season 5 of ABDC.  After much thought and consideration, 6 members from the USAJR All-Star Team were selected to try out at the ABDC Regional finals in January, 2010.
 
The original members of that team were:

Kirby Davis
Charmi Patel
Tyler Perez
Scott Simpson
Chaz Robinson
 
After that team was selected to advance on to the finals, personnel changes to the group had to be made that resulted in the final six members that are now a part of the team.  The response to the team's first performance on the show was overwhelming to say the least.  They performed week after week amazing the audience with their jumping skills performing routines to hits like "Caught Up" by Usher, "Shake It" by Metro Station, and a routine that included them jumping with ropes on fire to the hit classic "Disco Inferno."
