USA Jump Rope Privacy Statement

USA Jump Rope is committed to protecting the privacy of its membership, as well as anyone from the general public who visits our website.  We will not sell, share, or disseminate freely any information retained by this site - period.  Likewise, we do not collect any other information other than what is volunteered to use.  We also expect all of our members to adhere to our privacy principles when accessing other member's personal information. We do not condone the use of our membership directories, or any other informational databases maintained by USA Jump Rope, for private business use outside of USA Jump Rope sanctioned events. The use of private information shared through our Coaches List cannot be used for marketing a private business or for a team's personal financial gain without the consent and approval of USA Jump Rope and its Board of Directors.

To protect your privacy, USA Jump Rope follows five principles in accordance with worldwide practices for customer privacy and data protection.

PRINCIPLE 1 - NOTICE

We will ask you when we need information that personally identifies you (personal information) or allows us to contact you. Generally this information is requested when you are asked to register before downloading free software, obtaining membership in the organization, or accessing members only services, like message boards and chat rooms.

PRINCIPLE 2 - CONSENT

If you choose not to register or provide personal information, you can still use most of usajumprope.org But you will not be able to access areas that require membership.

USA Jump Rope will not allow outside companies or other organizations access to information about our registered members for purpose of solicitation of the membership for profit or personal gain.

PRINCIPLE 3 - ACCESS

We will provide you with the means to ensure that your personal information is correct and current. You may view your personal information registered with USA Jump Rope, and request changes as necessary.

PRINCIPLE 4 - SECURITY

When using our online ordering system to purchase products and/or new/renewal memberships, it is necessary for USA Jump Rope to collect credit card information.  This is done through the use of a security protocol known as an SSL certificate.  This protocol allows different applications to communicate across a network in a way designed to prevent eavesdropping, tampering, and message forgery.  Any credit card information collected is stored in a secured location to prevent unauthorized access by anyone other than USA Jump Rope personnel.  All records are retained and disposed of in accordance with local, state, and federal privacy laws.

USA Jump Rope will protect the security of your personal information and we honor your choices for its intended use.  We carefully protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction.  Any use of our services is considered a personal choice and no warranty about the security of your data may be implied from this statement.

PRINCIPLE 5 - ENFORCEMENT

USA Jump Rope strictly enforces its rules and principles with regards to misuse of any and all information, be it personal or company information.  USA Jump Rope reserves the right to handle this misuse through appropriate legal means which can include, but is not limited to, notification by letter, probation, and/or membership revocation.  If for some reason you believe USA Jump Rope, or a person(s) within the membership has not adhered to these principles, please notify us by e-mail at [email protected],  and we will do our best to investigate and correct the problem promptly.  Make sure the words "Privacy Policy" are in the subject line of the email.

NOTICE TO PARENTS

In our efforts to promote the sport of jump rope and the organization, USA Jump Rope routinely utilizes any and all means available for promotion and advertising.  This can include, but is not limited to, the use of video, photographs, and any other forms of visible, electronic, or printed media.  Completion of your membership form, membership renewal form, and any and all  tournament/competition forms or indemnity agreements implies consent for USA Jump Rope to use any and all videos, photographs, and other forms of visible, electronic, or printed media of participants, spectators, and/or competitors.  All media forms are retained by USA Jump Rope and kept in accordance with our privacy policy.  Under no circumstances will any form of visible, electronic, or printable media be used for unintentional purposes to include libel, slander, and defamation of character.

USA Jump Rope is not only committed to the growth of your children, we are also committed to protecting them as much as possible.  In and effort to guard your children's privacy,  We encourage you to also talk to your children about the safe and responsible use of their personal information while using the Internet.
