Locks of Love

In June 2007 members and families of USA Jump Rope came together to support a very worthy cause: "Locks of Love". This was a very successful event with over 24 teams participating , 170 ponytails donated for a total of 1,490" of hair. We ask you to join the challenge next summer at our National competition to be held in Galveston, Texas, June 2009. We challenge all of our teams to participate and beat 2007's quota with more ponytails and inches of hair! This organization provides the highest quality hair prosthetics to children with medical hair loss due to Alopecia Areata (an auto-immune condition), severe burn victims, radiation treatments or any number of dermatological conditions resulting in long term or permanent hair loss. We are rising to the occasion again in June 2009 and have posted all of the updated forms for your convenience. Help us help others by growing out our hair for donations!

We plan to hold a haircutting ceremony after the Grand National Tournament on Sunday, June 28th, with media, newspaper and radio coverage. This will be a spectacular event that you won't want to miss or be a part of. So the challenge is on...start growing out your hair now so you can donate to this worthy cause.
