Oct 19th, '17 - Jumper Advisory Board Information & Application

The USA Jump Rope Jumpers Advisory Board (JAB) is kicking off the 2017-2018 application process! We're looking for the next generation of leaders in jump rope 2017-2018 applicants.

If this is you, please complete the application for appointment here.

The JAB is made up of jumpers, current and former, who are active members in good standing with USA Jump Rope between the ages of 16 and 25 who exist to make all jumpers voices heard. Members appointed to the JAB through this application process act as a sounding board for the USA Jump Rope Board of Directors, Competition Committee, and the membership of USA Jump Rope. JAB members will also be tasked with suggesting rules changes, developing marketing ideas, representing USA Jump Rope, and advocating for changes that create the best competition environment for athletes. Upon selection for the Jumpers Advisory Board, appointees will be asked to commit to a one year term and participate in monthly video conferences.

The deadline for application submissions to the Jumper Advisory Board will be due by midnight on October 31, 2017. No late applications will be accepted.

For questions regarding the application process or involvement in the Jumpers Advisory Board, please email jabadmin@usajumprope.org.

Thanks!

Sep 1st, '17 - Hurricane Harvey hits Texas - help for teams and jumpers affected

USAJR Members and Friends,

Please keep the thoughts and prayers coming in for our friends and families down south and in Houston and surrounding areas. The damage and floods are truly devastating. Many have damage or lost their homes. The USAJR staff are okay and trying to help those in our own community that need donations at this time. We are sharing the Highflyers Jump Rope Team Flood Relief donation page, they have team members that have been affected. Please consider helping.

https://www.highflyersjumpropeteam.org/

Also, please know that the USAJR office is accepting donations of gift cards (think HEB, Kroger, Walmart, Target, restaurants and food places) where they can buy specific things they need and get a good meal.

T-Shirts: We would like to start a t-shirt drive and challenge any of our teams to send team shirts or any extra jump rope shirts of all sizes so they can replenish their t-shirts that may have been lost and they will always know when they wear those shirts that your team cared and supported them during this time.

We have other teams in the Houston and surrounding areas that we plan to reach out to and see how we can help them as well. Please remember that ALL people from Rockport, to Houston to Beaumont, Texas and everywhere in between need our help. We plan to take donations of clothes, towels, food, blankets, toiletries and any other donations you'd like to give to the large shelters weekly.

We also plan to rally troops to bring trailers, tools, fans and manpower from areas not affected to help with clean up efforts in the coming weeks. Please contact us if you are interested in helping. (info@usajumprope.org) #texasstrong
